Orvakal Rock Garden in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh is a rare silica and quartz rock formation site with beautiful surroundings. The rocks spread across 50 acres adjacent to Kurnool – Nandyal highway.
The garden well developed by AP tourism. There are a restaurant and cottages spread across the garden. There is a walkway to explore the beauty of the site with an added attraction of metal animal garden with several large animal structures but with iron at the hilltop.

There are cottages inside the Orvakal Rock Garden which were maintained by Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. You can also find many budget hotels in Kurnool.
How to reach?
Oorvakal is 23 Kms away from Kurnool on the national highway. The roads were well maintained, and regular buses services from state transport are available. You can also book a car.
When to visit?
Summers usually from March to May will be very hot and humid so, it is preferred less to visit at this months. The idle time to visit is from October to March as the weather is pleasant here. Site seeing during raining is more pleasing to the eyes. So we can also prefer to visit during July to September.
What to do there?
Don’t expect to spend a complete day there. However, you can spend at least an hour or two there. One can do rock climbing, hiking and photography.
Entry fee is ₹10 / person, and there is no parking fee.
